Shannon S. Dixon

Ms. Dixon joined the Granite team in October, 2006.  Serving as Broker-in-Charge of Granite Commercial South, LLC, she will oversee the day to day operations of Granite’s third party property management and leasing division.  Ms. Dixon brings with her many years of experience in all aspects of the retail industry, including retailer site selection, shopping center development, brokerage and project management. The combination of Ms. Dixon’s leadership skills, retail experience, strong work ethic and valuable relationships within the shopping center industry will enhance the already established success of Granite Commercial South, LLC.

Ms. Dixon began her career in real estate in Raleigh, NC as a real estate litigation paralegal, working for several firms within the Raleigh area. In 1995, she took a position with Kane Realty Corporation as a Development Coordinator before moving on to Konover Property Trust, Inc. where her last position was Director of Asset Management and Development, overseeing several developments and redevelopments of shopping centers in the Southeast.  Prior to joining Granite Commercial South, LLC, Ms. Dixon also held the position of Vice President of Real Estate Services for Bear Rock Foods, Inc. and most recently Manager of Development for Dunkin Brands, Inc where she was responsible for overseeing new market development initiatives.

Ms. Dixon graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and also from the National Center of Paralegal Training in Atlanta, GA.  Ms. Dixon is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and has participated in several retailer panels. She is very active in several youth organizations, including serving on the Youth Committee and the Committee for Special Needs Children at her home church, Brooks Avenue Church of Christ.  Ms. Dixon resides in Apex, NC with her husband, Steven Dixon and their two daughters, Caitlyn (age 15) and Conner (age 13).
